Diamond Buying Guide
How to Choose a High-Quality Diamond
Buying a diamond is an exciting experience, whether it’s for an engagement ring, jewellery upgrade, or investment. This guide explains all the essential parameters that define a high-quality diamond so you can make a confident choice. Every loose diamond we sell already meets premium quality standards: Colour: D–G, Clarity: F–VS2, Cut Grade: Very Good to Excellent. Every diamond comes with a GIA or IGI certificate. All diamonds comply fully with the Kimberley Process, guaranteeing conflict-free origins. This ensures every stone you choose is beautiful, authentic, and ethically sourced.
The 4Cs: The Foundation of Diamond Quality
1.CUT
Cut determines brilliance, fire, sparkle, and overall beauty. Cut Grades: Excellent – Optimal light performance. Very Good – High brilliance and outstanding value. We offer diamonds only within Very Good–Excellent cut grades, ensuring strong visual performance.
2. COLOUR
Colour measures how white or colourless a diamond appears. Our diamonds are all D–G colour, guaranteeing a bright and elegant appearance.
3. CLARITY
Clarity assesses natural marks called inclusions. Clarity Scale: F / IF – Flawless / Internally Flawless. VVS1–VVS2 – Very, very small inclusions. VS1–VS2 – Very small inclusions. We only offer F–VS2 clarity, ensuring every stone is clean to the eye.
4. CARAT WEIGHT
Carat refers to the diamond’s weight. Since colour, clarity, and cut are already at a high standard in our collection, you can select your preferred carat weight based on size preference and budget.
5. SHAPE
Choose a shape that suits your style: round, oval, cushion, princess, emerald, pear, and more. Round diamonds offer the most brilliance, while fancy shapes provide distinctive style and excellent value.
6. CERTIFICATION (GIA & IGI)
Every diamond we sell includes an official grading certificate from either: GIA (Gemological Institute of America), the industry’s most trusted, strict, and respected grading body.IGI (International Gemological Institute), globally recognised for accurate and consistent grading. These certificates provide full transparency regarding diamond quality and authenticity.
7. ETHICAL SOURCING & THE KIMBERLEY PROCESS
We are committed to responsible sourcing. Every diamond we offer is fully compliant with the Kimberley Process, an international system that prevents the trade of conflict diamonds. This ensures that diamonds are ethically mined and supply chains are regulated. Therefore, your purchase supports responsible industry practices. You can buy with confidence knowing your diamond has been ethically sourced from start to finish.
8. POLISH & SYMMETRY
These reflect the craftsmanship and precision of the cut. Polish: Smoothness of each facet. Symmetry: Alignment and balance of the diamond’s shape. We offer diamonds that feature Very Good or Excellent polish and symmetry.
9. FLUORESCENCE
A natural glow under UV light. Preferred grade for high-quality diamonds is: None. To ensure a consistent appearance in all lighting.
10. TABLE & DEPTH PERCENTAGES
These proportions influence brilliance. For round diamonds, ideal ranges include:Table: ~54–58%. Depth: ~60–63%. Though our diamonds already meet premium cut grades, these proportions further support exceptional light performance.
11. LENGTH-TO-WIDTH RATIO (FANCY SHAPES)
Determines the diamond’s visual balance and shape proportions (e.g., oval: 1.35–1.50). Important for achieving the desired look.
12. EYE-CLEANLINESS
Our diamonds are all eye-clean, meaning inclusions are not visible without magnification.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Handle your jewellery with care and avoid heavy activities which will expose your jewellery to knocks and scratches. Remove your jewellery before bed, showering and washing hands. Avoid exposing your jewellery to perfume, hair products, cosmetics or any corrosive products that could permanently damage precious metal, stones or pearls. Keep your jewellery away from long periods of direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Always store your jewellery individually in separate compartments in your jewellery box or pouch to avoid scratching. Examine your jewellery routinely for secure settings and claps. If your jewellery suffers a shock or hit the stone setting may need to be checked. If you have any concerns, do not wear the piece of jewellery and get it checked or contact us.
Jewellery can lose its shine form daily wear and pollution. Your jewellery should be cleaned regularly. You may carry out the cleaning yourself by brushing the jewellery delicately with a very soft brush in a warm soapy water, carefully rinsing it thoroughly and use a soft cloth to dry it.
